Enter key should = line break not post message

This is fairly minor and not sure if I have mentioned it before - but it is by far the number one thing that clients mention negatively about the portal

Messaging - if you hit enter it doesn’t start a new line it sends the message. Some figure out ctr+enter will get you the new line but most don’t and even when they do know (me) they frequently forget so

"Hi John

hope you’re well?

can we schedule a call?

Regards

John"

Goes out as 5 messages rather than one with paragraph breaks, most people realise after they accidentally send “Hi john” and either use ctrl+enter or create one block of difficult to read text instead, so 5 messages aren’t really sent.

  • if we could make the send button require clicking instead of ‘enter’ being a keyboard shortcut it would make messaging much more intuitive to use

Thanks for flagging this, I completely understand where your clients are coming from.

I’ll make sure to follow up with our Product Team and submit this as a feature request, the ability to use Enter for new lines rather than sending, so that messages can only be sent by explicitly clicking the send button.
