Several Features I'm Curious About

There are several things that I feel like are necessary for this to work long term for my agency, and I would love to get an idea on if any of these are coming in the near future.

  • Ability to turn off “Read Receipts” in the messages from my side. I would like to know when clients are viewing things, but I would prefer that they cannot see that my team views them. If that is not possible, then a way to turn them off completely (again not as good but next best option).

  • Favoriting message: Would love to be able to favorite messages to come back to.

  • Marking as unread: The favoriting would solve this issue for the most part, but need some way to come back to messages that we can’t reply to right away - could be just marking them as unread.

  • Access restrictions for staff members & Staff account types: This is really a must have. I cannot have everyone on my team able to see and access client billing and contract info. Ideally there would be staff account types where I can have various members with different permissions.

  1. At this time we’re not tracking the requests for being able to turn off read receipts and favoriting messages. I’ve added them as new requests and we’ll track them and prioritize them depending on request volume.
  2. You can already mark messages as unread. If you right click on a message channel that’s been read you can’t ‘Mark as unread’. Note this only works if the message channel has more than just the welcome message.
  3. As discussed over email, we’ll be rolling out custom roles this quarter, starting with a fixed role that hides access to the Billing App and Contracts App.
