I am working to use only Assembly with our clients and backend things like forms. I have not seen a place where I can embed a specific form that I created on Assembly onto my website. I use Wix. I have created an “HTML Element” on Wix that allows me to paste the link in from the form I created. However, what comes up is not the form but a “Sign In To Your Account” (Assembly portal account) message. At this point, the people that are using this form are leads and not clients yet. So, they would not have an account nor would we want them to create one at this point. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
Hi @Kimberly_Lowe,
Thank you for reaching out!
As of now forms created using the Forms App require users to be logged into the portal to access and submit them, which is why you’re seeing the “Sign In To Your Account” message when trying to embed it on your Wix site. There isn’t currently a way to make an Assembly form publicly accessible without a portal login, so it isn’t possible to embed it directly on an external website for leads who don’t have a. client account.
For capturing inquiries from prospects who aren’t yet clients, the recommended approach would be to use an external public form tool such as Typeform, Google Forms, or JotForm and embed that on your Wix site instead. You can then connect it to Assembly via Zapier or Make to automatically bring the lead information into Assembly.
Here’s how that workflow could look:
- A prospect submits your public form on your Wix website
- Zapier or Make picks up the submission
- A task is automatically created in Assembly with all the prospect’s details in the description
- Your internal team can then review the lead, follow up, and when ready create them as a client in Assembly
You can find an overview on how Zapier and Make work with Assembly in our Assembly Help Guide, here!
I’m also happy to share that our team has been actively working on a Custom App Builder feature rolling out in beta very soon. This could be a great opportunity to build a public-facing lead intake form that works exactly the way you need it to, without requiring a portal login, and embed it directly on your Wix site. You can sign up for early access here and join our Assembly Studios Slack Community here to see examples of what’s already being built!
I’ll also make sure to submit public form access as a feature request to our product team as I can completely see how this would be valuable for capturing leads directly from your website.
If you have any other questions, just let me know. I’m always here to help! ![]()
