Upload Notification Behaviour

If I accidentally uploaded the files for a client and delete them immediately, will the client still get notified?

What is the timing behaviour for this?

In my testing, if I’m quick enough, no notification is sent. But I’d like the know the behaviour that’s programmed so I know the timing internally.

Clients will not get notified via email if the file is deleted within 5 minutes of being created. Their in-portal notification counter will also decrement once the file is deleted.

A couple more questions:

  1. If I upload an empty folder, will clients be notified? (For example if tax season is approaching and I want all the client to have a folder to drop their tax information into, could it work that way if I mass upload an empty folder to all available channels?)
  2. Is there a way to turn off client notifications or modify which notifications get sent to clients and which do not? (like maybe no to file upload and yes to e-signature?)

  2. Unfortunately there is currently no way to turn off or configure which notifications get sent to clients.
