Has anyone found an easy way to let none tech savy clients install the portal on their mobile phones as an ‘app’ - we use the portal for secure communications more than anything else and there literally isn’t a day where a client doesn’t ask if there is a mobile app version.
Hi @John_Bloomfield! Thank you for reaching out! We don’t have a native mobile app, but clients can add a shortcut to our mobile web app on their home screen!
Instructions for Chrome are here for iOS and Android, and instructions for Safari can be found here.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am here to help! ![]()
Hi @Veronique_Cadet yeah I was aware of that option - Our client base are generally not tech savvy, the couple I have given these instructions to have either found it too ‘complex’ - or in one case who managed it they said it saved with a weird name (i.e. nothing to do with us) so they deleted it in case they had made a mistake.
Hi @John_Bloomfield ! Unfortunately, this is the only way that they can add the app to their home screen. Would it help if I created a video they can view showing them how to do this? Please let me know. Thanks! ![]()
No not really - what we are requesting is that there is an option to install either from a download that we can put on our website or in a perfect world via the appstore. We have had other programs that can provide this. So ideally I’d jus like to see that on your roadmap.
Hi @John_Bloomfield! Thank you for the clarification. While we do plan to develop a native mobile app in the future, it’s not currently on our immediate roadmap, and we don’t have an estimated timeline at this time. I’ll be sure to share your request with our product team! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am always here to help! ![]()
Any updates on a timeline for a mobile app?
Hi @Nicole_Levesque ! Thank you for reaching out!
At the moment, we don’t have an update or timeline to share for a mobile app, as it’s not currently on our immediate roadmap.
I also wanted to get a better understanding of the type of mobile app you’re looking for. Would this be primarily for your internal use or for your clients?
This kind of insight is really helpful as we plan for potential future mobile development.
Please let me know when you can. Thanks! ![]()
For us it was always to be as an external app as we use it for interfacing with clients - we find explaining how they can ‘add to home’ on iphone / android a bit tiresome - being able to install either by the appstore a link we can supply would be much easier.
Hi @john_bloomfield Thank you for sharing this feedback. I completely understand how having a dedicated mobile app or a simple install link would make things much easier when working with clients. Explaining the “Add to Home Screen” steps can definitely be a bit tedious.
I’ve shared your feedback with our product team so they’re aware of this use case. It’s really helpful for us to understand how teams are using the platform with their clients.
Thanks again for taking the time to share this! ![]()
