I added the “app” to my phone, but no notifications ever come through. I get the emails, but I’d prefer to get the direct notifications. I did make sure it is turned on in my settings for that app, and I’m on Android. Any one else have this problem or have advice of something to try?

Just to clarify, we don’t currently have a native Android or iOS mobile app. When you “add the app” to your phone, it’s actually creating a shortcut to the web version of Assembly on your home screen rather than installing a standalone app.
Because of that, push notifications through your device (like you’d receive from apps such as Slack or Gmail) aren’t supported at this time. Email notifications are currently the only notification method available.
I totally understand wanting direct notifications so I’ll be sure to pass this feedback along to our product team, as it’s helpful to know this is something users are looking for.
In the meantime, one workaround some users try is setting up custom notifications or priority alerts within their email app so Assembly emails stand out more prominently.
