Hello!
I’d like to propose/request the ability to add or have custom fields on the invoice screen or table. We are starting to expand and will have more internal users/consultants in the application. We can add custom fields to the Companies or Client records to identify the “Account Owner” which is great, however we also have a commission structure for the team based on invoicing activity.
Even if the application didn’t calculate commission from a custom field, but having the ability to pull a custom field from company or client record so it shows on an invoice export would be massive.
We really do like Assembly and would like to continue expanding, but also want to avoid using another app or program to manage a basic compensation or incentive report as our team expands.

For the time being however, Assembly does offer access to our API endpoints, which can be utilized to create custom apps to meet specific needs. We’ve also recently released an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server which can help you with this. The Assembly MCP server lets you connect AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor directly to your Assembly workspace. Once connected, your AI assistant can read from and act on your clients, companies, invoices, messages, tasks, forms, files, and more without leaving your chat.
