If you’re like me and increasingly stuck in Claude all day, this announcement is for you: You can now connect Assembly to the AI tools you already use like ChatGPT and Claude.
Here’s how to install the Assembly MCP connector in your favorite AI tool and securely manage your clients with AI.*
Once connected, you can ask your AI things related to your Assembly workspace like:
- “Which clients have an overdue invoice older than 30 days?”
- “Brief me on [this client/company] before my call.”
- “Send a message to all my clients tagged ‘Gold tier.’”
- “Draft reminders for everyone with overdue invoices and show me before sending.”
A few things worth knowing:
- The MCP tools map directly to the public Assembly Platform API. View the technical documentation here.
- Actions that make permanent changes preview before they run, and deletes require explicit confirmation (these are not recoverable).
- This is only usable by admins for client management. It works on any Assembly plan.
*We have an updated privacy policy and AI policy to cover more details, but you should review your external AI provider’s data training rules when handling client data!
