Good afternoon! I’m trying to add my SquareSpace custom domain, but I’m really struggling. I’ve added the CNAME to SquareSpace, but within the Assembly custom domain menu, it just says “Validating records.” I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
The domain records are:
Type: CNAME
Name: portal
Value: secure.myassembly.com
Within SquareSpace, I added a custom record. I entered the type. But the other fields have different names. The other fields are “Host,” “TTL,” and “Data.” Here’s what I attempted:
Host: portal
Type: CNAME
TTL: 4 hrs (default)
Alias data: I tried both the secure.myassembly.com that it listed above & the full url of what I thought the completed domain would be for my website.
I tried searching both Assembly’s help pages, Assembly’s community posts, and SquareSpace’s help pages. But I’m getting nowhere. Any help would be appreciated!
